Return Policy

Our fair and eco-friendly approach to returns, exchanges, and refunds.

1. Our Return Philosophy

At Thakshon, we believe in providing high-quality, sustainable craft materials that meet your expectations. We understand that sometimes products may not be exactly what you needed, which is why we've developed a fair and eco-conscious return policy.

We strive to balance customer satisfaction with environmental responsibility. Each return has an environmental cost through additional transportation and packaging. Therefore, we encourage our customers to make informed purchasing decisions to minimize unnecessary returns while still ensuring you're completely satisfied with your purchase.

2. Return Eligibility

You may return most items purchased from Thakshon within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange, provided they meet the following conditions:

  • Items must be unused and in their original condition
  • All original packaging must be intact
  • Original receipt or proof of purchase is provided
  • Custom-cut fabrics and materials can only be returned if defective
  • Sale items marked as "final sale" cannot be returned

Please note: For hygiene reasons, certain items like dyes and pigments can only be returned if they are defective and in their original sealed packaging.

3. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our customer service team within 30 days of receiving your order by emailing info@thakshon.world with your order number and reason for return.
  2. Receive return authorization and instructions from our team, including a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number.
  3. Package your items carefully in their original packaging if possible, or in eco-friendly packaging. Please include your RMA number with the return.
  4. Ship the items to the address provided in the return instructions. We recommend using a tracked shipping method.
  5. Once received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  6. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7-14 business days.

4. Exchanges

If you'd like to exchange an item for a different color, size, or product, please follow the same process as returns. In your initial email, please specify that you would like an exchange and provide details of the item you would like instead.

For exchanges, we will cover the shipping cost for sending the new item to you (within Switzerland). However, you are responsible for the cost of returning the original item to us.

If the item you want to exchange for has a different price:

  • If the new item costs more, we will invoice you for the difference
  • If the new item costs less, we will refund the difference to your original payment method

5. Shipping Costs for Returns

Shipping costs for returns are handled as follows:

  • If the return is due to our error (wrong item sent, defective product, etc.), we will cover the cost of return shipping.
  • If the return is due to customer preference (change of mind, ordered wrong item, etc.), the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.

For international customers, please note that you may be responsible for duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees for returned items. These fees are non-refundable.

6. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately at info@thakshon.world with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the damage or defect
  • Photos showing the issue

We will work quickly to resolve the issue by offering a replacement, repair, or refund, including covering any return shipping costs. Please contact us within 7 days of receiving a damaged or defective item.

7. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received a refund yet:

  • First, check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
  • Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
  • If you've done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at info@thakshon.world.

8. Sustainable Returns

As an eco-conscious company, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of returns. We encourage you to:

  • Reuse the original packaging when returning items
  • If original packaging is not available, use minimal, recyclable, or biodegradable materials
  • Consider exchanging instead of returning when possible to minimize transportation emissions

For returns that cannot be resold, we donate usable materials to local craft education programs or recycle them appropriately rather than sending them to landfill.

9. Gift Returns

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver.

10. Changes to This Return Policy

We may update this return policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. The new policy will apply to all purchases made after the revised policy has been posted.

For orders placed before a policy change, the return policy in effect at the time of purchase will apply.
